Every provider here has been checked by a real person, not added automatically. We look at how they price, how they treat new clients, and what people who have been there tell us. Each listing shows what we have checked and when, so you can see exactly what stands behind it.
We would rather list fewer places we are sure about than fill the page with names we cannot stand behind.
Common Ground is run by people in the LGBTQ+ community, for our community. It started because finding somewhere safe for a haircut, your nails, or a wax should not take hours of searching and second-guessing, and too often it does.

Common Ground is just getting started in Cheshire and Greater Manchester. The list is small and growing. If there is nothing near you yet, you can ask us to tell you when there is.
If a salon or stylist has made you feel welcome, tell us. We follow up every recommendation personally before anything goes on the site.
